Would you like to exchange your item for a different size, colour, or style?
Online purchases can be exchanged for free in one of our boutiques, provided the item is in its original condition and includes all labels and price tags. (Bijenkorf stores are excluded). Unfortunately, online purchases made after March 3 can no longer be exchanged or returned via PostNL.

Exchanges & Returns
Please note: Purchases from March 3 onwards can unfortunately no longer be returned.
Only purchases made before March 3 can still be returned.
If you would like to return your ordered items*, you can do so within 14 days after delivery. Returns will be processed within five business days**. Once your return has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email regarding your refund. Please note: We only accept items that are unused, unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and in their original condition with the original labels attached. In case of a return, please fill out the return form and include it with the package.
Packages with an attached return label – follow these return instructions:
- include the completed return form in the package.
- Cover your own address details with the attached return label. Make sure the package is properly sealed.
- Take the package to your local post office. You can find the specific carrier on the attached return label.
- Ask for a proof of postage and keep it safe in case we need it later.
- The return costs will be deducted from the amount to be refunded.
- The return costs are equal to the shipping costs paid. However, if you return the entire order, we will also reimburse the original shipping costs (as required by EU legislation).
Packages without an attached return label – follow these return instructions:
- Contact our Customer Service team by emailing cs@vanilia.com or calling +31 (0) 75 640 25 00 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.
- We will send you the return label by email, along with another form required for customs.
If you wish to return your package in the Netherlands, you can do so in the following ways:
1: At a PostNL Service Point:
- Include the completed return form in the box.
- Cover your address details with the attached PostNL return sticker.
- Take your package to a PostNL location. Click here to find the nearest PostNL location. Check the opening hours of your PostNL location.
- You will immediately receive a shipping confirmation with a Track & Trace code.
- The shipping cost is €5.95, which will be deducted from the amount to be refunded.
2: Give your package to a PostNL courier:
- Include the completed return form in the box.
- Cover your address details with the attached PostNL return sticker.
- Give your package to a PostNL courier during your next delivery.
- You will immediately receive a shipping confirmation with a Track & Trace code. Please note: the courier accepts a maximum of five packages per delivery.
- The shipping cost is €5.95, which will be deducted from the amount to be refunded.
Sale items can also be returned, provided they are in the same condition, with the labels and price tags still attached.
Vanilia reserves the right to refuse returns that have been sent outside the specified period or items that are not returned in the same condition as when shipped. Multiple items and items from different orders can be returned in the same package. Please note: all return forms must be included with the package. Without these forms, the return cannot be processed correctly.
Once we have received your return, we will send you a confirmation email. The refunded amount will be returned within 10 business days via the original payment method. Membership vouchers and store credits will be reactivated and linked to the corresponding email address. Please note that the process for refunding credit card payments may vary depending on the credit card company. As a result, it may take longer for your return to be processed and refunded compared to other payment methods.
*Currently, it is not possible to return boutique purchases and receive a refund. Exchanges for another item or credit on your member card can be made within 14 days, with the price tag attached and in original condition. Products purchased in one of our boutiques cannot be returned to the headquarters. We appreciate your understanding.
**Due to the high volume, it may take a bit longer for your return to be processed and the refund to appear in your account. Once your return has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email. Depending on the payment method chosen, it may take a few extra days for the refund to be processed. We kindly ask you to contact us only after 7 days if you have not received an update about your return.
At this time, boutique purchases cannot be returned for a refund. Exchanges for another item or store credit on your member card can be made within 14 days, with the original price tag and in original condition. Products purchased in one of our boutiques cannot be returned to the headquarters. We appreciate your understanding.
Vanilia items purchased at a Bijenkorf location or from www.debijenkorf.nl can only be exchanged or returned at a Bijenkorf shop or on De Bijenkorf website. Consult the Bijenkorf website for terms and conditions. This also applies to the Vanilia items purchased on breuninger.com. These can only be exchanged and returned via breuninger.com. Consult the Breuninger website for terms and conditions.
At the moment, it is not possible to return your online purchase and receive a refund in our boutiques. You can exchange it for another item within 14 days, provided the item is in its original condition with the attached price tag. Click here to find a boutique near you. If your parcel was returned to our distribution centre, we will contact you by phone to verify your address and resend your order.
No sorry, this is not possible at the moment.
As soon as we receive your return, we will send you a confirmation e-mail. The refunded amount will be transferred to your bank account within 7 to 10 business days. Member vouchers and store credits will be reactivated and linked to the associated e-mail address.
Please note: When the order has been paid with Paypal, you will receive the purchase amount on your account after approximately 14 days.
Unfortunately, orders from March 3, 2025, can no longer be returned, either online or in our boutiques. Due to the bankruptcy of Vanilia The Shops B.V., the right of withdrawal is no longer applicable, and we are unable to process returns or issue refunds.
We understand that this may be inconvenient and appreciate your understanding in this exceptional situation. For further questions, we refer you to the curator handling the bankruptcy.
